Port Angeles Fine Arts Center hosts a free artist’s presentation from 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the center, 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd. Artist Alex Hirsch discusses the drawings and dimensional glass pieces in her PAFAC exhibition, Leaning Into The Light, which runs July 18-Sept.1. Trained at the University of Michigan (BA, BFA) and Washington University (MFA), Hirsch has taught at art schools and liberal arts colleges. Her work is collected nationally and internationally. Her studio is in Portland, Ore.
