One of the most upbeat people in Sequim, Linda Andrusko makes her literary return with her second book “Lilly the Llama’s Lessons of Life.”
Intended as a short story book for children, Andrusko said her intentions are to “capture what all kids should know.”
Using Lilly in each story, Andrusko said the llama encounters different lessons about confidence, charity, respect and more.
She hasn’t always been a writer but got her start with encouragement from her friends and the online forum for Greek performer Yanni, for which she serves as the West Coast street team leader.
When she started writing, Andrusko admits she wasn’t the biggest fan of poetry but two books later she’s considering a novel next.
With “Lilly,” she hopes to help people in general.
“Children are our future and I want them to believe in themselves and others,” she said.
The book is recommended for all ages and is available at Pacific Mist Books, at Sequim Library, and Amazon in Kindle and book formats.

Andrusko said she’s always kept a positive attitude.
“I’ve been put in a position to be upbeat so I go through looking at the positive,” she said. “Who wants to go through life only looking at the dismal things?”
When people ask how she is doing, she always says “excellent.”
“My husband (George) has terminal cancer, but he keeps that attitude, too,” she said.
Before moving to Sequim in 2007, Andrusko lived in Southern California and Minnesota.
She was an administrative assistant but went on disability for tinnitus.
Andrusko said she’s always fought for children who were either picked on and/or less fortunate. She has twin sons of her own while her husband George has two children, both from a previous marriage.
Along with writing she’s hoping to meet Yanni, if he tours, in Las Vegas, Nev., next year.
“Lilly the Llama’s Lessons of Life” features several stories that the author feels every child should know.
