Backyard Birding
The Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society will present “Preparing Backyard Habitats for Winter” as part of its Backyard Birding series. The presentation will take place at the Dungeness River Nature Center, 1943 W. Hendrickson Road in Sequim, on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Suggested donation is $5.
The presenter will be Christie Lassen of Wild Birds Unlimited in Gardiner.
Lassen will explain how to make one’s yard a welcoming habitat with food, water and shelter for the dozens of bird species that call the Olympic Peninsula home throughout the winter.
