First Baptist Church of Sequim, 1323 Sequim- Dungeness Way, will be a hosting a number of child-friendly, free events designed to bring a smile to both children and their parents. The church will offer Kids Mini Camp, a Block Party and Vacation Bible School.
Students entering grades K-5 this upcoming fall are invited to participate in Mini Camp from 2-4 p.m. June 24-26. Monday, June 24, will be “Sports Day” with team sports and other activities featured; Tuesday, June 25, will be “Water Day” with water balloons, spray bottles and bottle rockets ensuring that youngsters soak up fun; and on Wednesday, June 26, “Hunt and Race Day” will feature a scavenger hunt on the church property, as well as relay races using youth-powered go-carts courtesy of Sequim Cub Scout Pack 4490.

All ages are invited to attend a Community Block Party from 2-9 p.m. Thursday, June 27. Family friendly fun will include a bounce house and inflatable slide; games including sports activities and fun with water; and other activities such as face painting.
A special preschool play area also will be part of the fun. Carnival-style snacks such as hot dogs, nachos, cotton candy, snow cones and popcorn will be served. All activities and food will be free to the public.
The Block Party also will have a preview and registration area for “Colossal Coaster World” Vacation Bible School upcoming July 8-12.
“Colossal Coaster World” will enable children entering grades K-8 to face their fears and trust God through the roller coaster of life.
Daily music, Bible study, crafts, snacks and games will be part of Vacation Bible School week, meeting from 9 a.m.-noon July 8-12.
Middle school students will be treated to “VBX” with activities geared especially for them in their own carnival tent.
