The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center is once again hosting the Community Paint Out! and submissions are due at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 20. Above, participants in last year’s plein air class show off their art. Local participants, adults and children through age 16, have an opportunity to submit individual works of art, exhibit throughout the community and have a chance to win fabulous awards and prizes. Successfully submitted work will be entered into the Paint Out Exhibition at the Port Angeles Landing Mall from Friday, Aug. 1, to Sunday, Sept. 14. There will be a special reception at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, along with award presentations. Registration forms can be downloaded from the website at www.paintthepeninsula.org, which has additional information on the contest and other events. Entry fee is $5. The Friends of the Fine Arts Center Foundation is seeking sponsors for this and other Paint The Peninsula programs.
