Join the Sequim City Band for their final outdoor concert of the season at 3 p.m. this Sunday, Sept. 21, at the James Center For The Performing Arts.

Under the direction of Tyler Benedict, the band starts off with “Valdres March” by Johannes Hanssen, a tune featuring Miles Vokurka on clarinet. “Selections from Sound of Music” by Rodgers and Hammerstein follows, along with “Prairie Dances” by David Holsinger. “Satchmo!”, a tribute to the timeless songs of Louis Armstrong is in the mix, along with another march: “Inglesina” by Cese. A showcase for the flute section follows those pieces, including “Beguine For Flutes.” The band will play selections from “Grease,” including “We Go Together” and “Summer Nights,” among others. The rousing Sousa march, “The Washington Post March,” wraps up the summer’s finale to outdoor concerts.

As always, Sequim City Band Concerts are free of charge. Attendees are encouraged to bring a folding chair or blanket and weather-related attire.
