Auditions/Submissions
• Peninsula Singers recruiting new members. Rehearsals are 7-9 p.m. on Thursdays at Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, 925 N. Sequim Ave. Dues of $100 per semester are asked to help defray costs, including scholarships for local music students. Singers need to be able to read music, and must have solid choral experience. • All fourth grade or nine-year-old students in the Sequim School District, including homeschool students and those attending private schools, are invited to create an ornament to decorate the holiday tree that will be displayed at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St. from Dec. 3-Jan. 2022. Theme is “The Importance of Kindness.” Ornaments can be no smaller than 2 inches-by-2 inches-by 2 inches, and no larger than 6 inches-by 6 inches-by 6 inches. There are no color restrictions. All ornaments must have a loop (wire, ribbon or cord). Students must turn in their ornament and entry form to their teacher by Monday, Nov. 22. • Disabled American Veterans (DAV) office, 583 W. Washington St, open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesdays to serve veterans who are needing help with claims or other information. Services are free; veterans do not have to be members of DAV. Office service by walk-in; no appointment is necessary. Masks required upon entrance.
