What makes professional bouquets so interesting, charming, elegant, and artistic comes down to a few key design elements. In the next presentation of the Clallam County Master Gardeners’ “Digging Deeper” series, Master Gardener Marylou Ozbolt-Storer will explain the importance of flower structures and the role they play in crafting stunning floral centerpieces.
The presentation will be held at Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road in Sequim, from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 2. The $15 registration fee goes towards a floral container, mechanics for creating a bouquet and flowers.
Participants are requested to bring a knife or a pair of snips to work with.
The presentation will also cover how to use texture for maximum impact and how to think creatively when selecting foliage and other materials. Attendees will receive insider florist tips for extending vase life and discover tricks to get the most from every bouquet.
The presentation caps at 30 attendees and the cut-off date is July 30. Register at signupgenius.com/go/70A044AAFAE29ABFC1-54746115-2025#/.
