Rivers leads night of worship at Calvary Chapel

David Isaac Rivers and the Calvary Chapel Worship Team lead a night of songs spanning Irish-folk, Americana and indie-rock worship starting at 7 p.m. Friday, June 30, at Calvary Chapel Sequim, 91 Boyce Road.

Christian singer-songwriter “Weak Sheep,” Marielle Rypstra of Oak Harbor, opens the evening with a set of original songs,

Watercolorists plan exhibit

The Watercolor on Wednesday artists Marcia Barrett, Jim Gift, Rita Heywood, Jackie Yokote and Janet and Leroy Beers have been painting together at the Shipley Center for more than eight years.

They will showcase a collection of their paintings at the Gallery at the Fifth, 500 W. Hendrickson Road, during July.

An artists’ reception will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, July 2.
