At the beginning of the Irrigation Festival, sections of Washington and Bell streets will be closed temporarily.
On Saturday, May 1, Sequim Avenue to the crosswalk west of 144 W. Washington St. will close 10 a.m.-5 p.m. for the merchants street fair.
Bell Street and the alley between Washington and Bell streets will be closed from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 1-2 , from Sequim to Second avenues for the Arts and Crafts Fair.

Jeremiah’s BBQ and
KSQM radio serve Jeremiah’s pulled pork sandwiches at the 115th Sequim Irrigation Festival Family Picnic and Kids Day on Saturday, May 1, at Guy Cole Center at Carrie Blake Park.
The booth opens at 10 a.m. with donuts and breakfast dogs. Sandwiches are available from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Discount tickets for a pulled pork meal are available before the event at KSQM studios, 577 W. Washington St., and Jeremiah’s BBQ, 825 W. Washington St.
Food sale proceeds benefit KSQM.

Dance for the music
KSQM presents the Loggers Ball on Friday, May 7, in the Logging Show lot on Blake Avenue.
The free dance, a new event at Sequim’s Irrigation Festival, is sponsored by Good Earth Plantings, Fox Creek Farms and Adagio Bean and Leaf.
The music starts at 8 p.m. with The Army Band, followed by the Washington Old Time Fiddlers, then Robbie Walden & the Gunslingers. Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.
Boots, suspenders and plaid shirts are encouraged. The ability to appreciate sawdust, the night air and family fun is required.
