Chaplain offers assistance

Chaplain R. Glenn Brown, Commander, U.S. Navy (retired) is available to anyone in the community who has spiritual curiosity but no church affiliation or religious connections, people with spiritual questions who need an objective, experienced listener. To meet the chaplain over coffee at a convenient location, give him a call at 681-4250.

Worship group forming

An inclusive Christian group is forming in Sequim to worship, share and act in Jesus’ name. Call 683-1943 for more information.

Adult classes offered at Trinity

Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave., Sequim, offers two adult classes on Wednesday afternoons beginning May 1. Both classes meet from 1-2 p.m.

Participants can select a class on issues in elder-care in group-living situations — based in part on the book “What Are Old People For?” — led by Pauline Olsen and Connie Hyatt. The other selection is the Rev. Bill Green’s class on the New Testament letters of John, including a look at Christianity at the end of the first century.

Mission comes to Queen of Angels

Queen of Angels, 209 W. 11th St., Port Angeles, hosts a mission, “Beginning Again,” led by the Rev. Kevin MacDonald from April 29-May 2. MacDonald entered the Redemptorist Order after playing seven years of professional baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was ordained a priest in 1991. The mission includes daily Mass at 8:30 a.m. and evening service at 7 p.m. For more information, call 681-8019.
