OUFF speaker

Rev. Bruce A. Bode will speak on the topic “The Masks of God” at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 at Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1033 N Barr Road.

As Halloween approaches, Bode will explore the role of masks in our lives through the work of scholar Joseph Campbell, author of the four-volume “The Masks of God” and known to the larger public through his interviews with Bill Moyers’s in the PBS series “The Power of Myth.”

Bode is minister emeritus at the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (QUUF) in Port Townsend, from which he retired in 2018 as the senior minister after serving the congregation for 14 years. Before coming to Port Townsend, he was the interim minister of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston, Texas and the Hope Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior to that, he served for 22 years as an associate minister at the Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

One can attend the service either in-person or via Zoom. For more information, visit olympicuuf.com.
