Sequim Community Church begins Divorce Care series

Sequim Community Church offers offers a 12-week session of its Divorce Care series at 7 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Oct. 4, at the church, 950 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim. The meetings emphasize mutual support and encouragement. The series is free; both new and returning attendees are welcome.

Program spotlights prophecy, end times

The Rev. Eric Williams presents "Understand Prophecy: Finding Hope in Uncertain Times" over five nights at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5-Monday, Oct. 8, and Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Sequim Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 30 Sanford Lane. Blessing of the Animals scheduled

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim, will have a Blessing of the Animals at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, for the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. All pets are welcome to attend.

Church screens ‘October Baby’

First Baptist Church of Sequim, 1323 Sequim-Dungeness Way, hosts a free showing of the 2012 movie “October Baby” on Sunday, Oct. 7. An ice cream feed at 5 p.m. precedes the screening at 6 p.m. The film is rated PG13 and there will be activities for children under the age of 13 as an alternative to viewing the movie.
