‘The Great Ice Age’ screens at Agnew Friends Hall
The Peninsula Evangelical Friends Church’s free monthly Movie and a Meal features “The Great Ice Age” on Wednesday, Jan. 8, in the Agnew Friends Hall, 1241 N. Barr Road.
Filmed in Wyoming, Montana, and Oregon, this 2013 documentary explores how a global flood produced the right conditions to rapidly develop one great ice age, followed by catastrophic melt off, massive permanent climate change and the worldwide spread of man and animals. Meteorologist Michael Oard shows how the Biblical record makes sense of the geologic record and explains associated mysteries.
A supper of homemade soups with bread or rolls and home-baked cookies will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the movie.
“Everyone is welcome to come and watch the movie while we eat together,” social committee clerk Vicki Carlisle said. “We’ll be done by 8 p.m. for a family-friendly evening.”
