Church remains open during bridge closure
Opportunities to worship and fellowship at Peninsula Evangelical Friends Church, 1201 N. Barr Road, Port Angeles, will not be affected by the closure of Old Olympic Highway for replacement of the McDonnell Creek bridge that started this week, pastor Jonathan Fodge said.
“We continue to gather for worship every Sunday at 9 a.m.,” Fodge said. “This earlier time is an experiment to meet unmet ministry needs and remove impediments to people attending services. The service ends about 10:15 a.m.”
During the bridge closure, people coming from Sequim, Carlsborg and other points east of the construction zone, should take US Highway 101 to North Barr Road and follow the road north to the Friends Church, on the corner of North Barr Road and Old Olympic Highway.
