Bahá’i bicentenary celebration set

The community is invited to a special historic Bicentenary Celebration of the Birth of the Báb, Prophet Herald of the Bahá’i Faith, at a celebration set for 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, at Parkwood Community Clubhouse, 41 Green Meadow Dr., Sequim.

To be screened at the event is a new feature film , “Dawn of the Light,” which was commissioned especially for this 200-year anniversary being celebrated in Bahá’i communities around the world. The film follows the personal spiritual search of several individuals from different continents, and the transformative effect for each of them in learning of the twin prophets of the Bahá’i Faith: the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh.

Along with the film there will be inspirational displays, commemorative mementos and refreshments. An international website will also feature artwork, music, photos and stories of celebrations around the world at bicentenary.bahai.org.
