Bookends couldn’t contain the variety of literary-themed activities at the Sequim School District’s Family Reading Night, held Jan. 25 at Sequim Middle School.
With sessions for every age from pre-K children through teens, the literacy-focused fun and games, with popular activities including a create-your-own Star Wars character via computers and a Cat-in-the-Hat hat-making workshop.
Students received free books at the end of the evening and a grand prize gift cards drawing was held.
District officials said the evening drew 367 participants.
Teacher-librarians hosted the free evening.
