Fans of all ages find fun toys at Sequim show

Cartoon characters, Hot Wheels, monsters, superheroes, and more made appearances at the inaugural Olympic Peninsula Toy and Collectibles Show on Saturday. The event filled the Guy Cole Events Center in Carrie Blake Community Park with local and out-of-area vendors selling a variety of new and vintage toys.

The park was a busy place to be Saturday with the Friends of the Poor Walk/Run, Sequim City Band concert, and KSQM 91.5 FM’s Pet Lovers’ Day also taking place.

Organizer Corey Edwards said the venue “worked beautifully, it was a gorgeous day, and spirits seemed to be riding high.”

“I received many positive comments from shoppers and vendors throughout the day,” he said.

Vendors all had fun, Edwards said, and they would like to do it again with details in the works about a possible show in spring 2024. For more information, visit peninsulatoyshow.com or facebook.com/groups/peninsulatoyshow.
