They’re back.

Big shirts, shoulder pads, neon, punk, new wave, skinny ties, rhinestones and other 1980s accessories come back into fashion during the next First Friday Art Walk Sequim, from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2.

Yellow is the August theme color as the Sequim Centennial celebrates its way through the decades for the free self-guided art tour of downtown Sequim. Local galleries and other businesses exhibit art, put out snacks and offer music to put art walkers in the mood.

Sunshine Cafe is even hosting a Dance Party this time out.

• As a tribute to the late Saundra Cutsinger, her contemporary acrylic paintings will be shown at The Red Rooster Grocery, 134½ W. Washington St., during business hours and during the First Friday Art Walk.

• The MAC Exhibit Center hosts “Faces & Masks” by featured artist Pamela Hastings and “Small Art with Big Dreams – Artist Trading Cards” at 175 W. Cedar St. A reception is from 5-8 p.m. macsequim.org.

• Fine art, graphics and cartoons by the late Tim Quinn are at Sunshine Cafe, 145 W. Washington St., with chef’s choice snacks as well as a Dance Party to a special ’80s mix tape.

• “Wooden It Bee Nice” is the theme for the Blue Whole Gallery during this month’s art walk. Featured for August are wood sculptors Carl Baker and Christian Speidel. Meet them and other artist members at the reception from 5-8 p.m. at 129 W. Washington St. bluewholegallery.com.

• Meet artists Sally Cays and Patricia Taynton from 5-8 p.m. at Gallery on the Walls, 128 E. Washington St.

• Karen Stringer’s photography and LeRoy Beers’ watercolors are featured at the LARC Gallery, 166 E. Bell St. A reception at the gallery, which shows many local artists, is from 5-8 p.m.

• Thomas Design Center, 301 W. Washington St., features Donna Standerwick’s artwork and block prints by Randy and Sallie Radock. Meet the artists from 5-8 p.m.

• Robert Haspel’s stunning floral photography is at Crumb Grabbers Bakery, 492 W. Cedar St., along with goodies and music for First Friday.

• Kaboom Salon, 168 E. Bell St., hosts a collection of local photographers.

• Art, entertainment and sample coffee brewed from coffee beans roasted on the premises are the house blend at The Rainshadow Roasting Company, 157 W. Cedar St.

• Pacific Mist Books shows work by guest artist Tracie Gulit and resident artist Jean Wyatt at 121 W. Washington St. Meet the artists 5-8 p.m.

• Find the work of local artists on display during First Friday, along with wine tasting and late evening entertainment at Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St.

• Nourish, 1345 S. Sequim Ave., showcases local food and local art.

• The scenic photography of Scott Erickson is at Strait Financial Advice,193 W. Cedar St.

• The Sequim Library hosts Dick Hahn’s watercolors at 630 N. Sequim Ave., as part of the ongoing “Art in the Library Series” through August. www.nols.org.
