Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County holds monthly orientations for those interested in becoming a member of the nonprofit’s volunteer team.

From 10-11:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, an orientation is set at 540 E. Eighth St., Port Angeles. A second orientation is scheduled for 11 a.m.-noon on Thursday, Feb. 7, in Carlsborg; call 360-775-7806 for directions.

There are a variety of volunteer positions available and training is offered.

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County has served the region since 1978, providing end-of-life care, lending medical equipment and supplies, offering education programs, grief support groups, one-on-one bereavement services and practical workshops on living alone.

The organization is funded by donations and staffed by volunteers.
