Jazz singer Greta Matassa comes to the Olympic Peninsula in August.

The performances include Aug. 5 from 4:30-6 p.m., when the Peninsula Vocal Jazz Ensemble perform a Singers Solo Showcase.

On Aug. 6 from 6-7:30 p.m., Matassa and Peninsula College Vocal Jazz Soloists entertain at the Olympic Cellars Winery, 255410 U.S. Highway 101. The events are free and open to the public.

Matassa has been voted “Northwest Vocalist of the Year” by Earshot Jazz seven times in 15 years. She received the honor most recently in 2014 and was given a lifetime achievement award and inducted into the Earshot Jazz Hall of Fame last year.

She has been a mainstay on Seattle’s Jazz stages for many years.
