Join stargazing party in Port Angeles

Tour the night sky at a star party with astronomer John Gallagher and the Port Angeles High School astronomy class at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at the Port Angles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles.

Learn how to find the constellations, view the moon and Jupiter through a telescope and listen to stories of the stars.

The program is entirely outdoors: If it is cloudy or raining, the program will be canceled.

The Star Party coincides with the Visions of the Universe exhibition on display at the Port Angeles Library until Dec. 2, part of a multi-year global celebration of astronomy and its contributions to society and culture.

Visions of the Universe is made possible by the Space Telescope Science Institute, Baltimore, Md.; the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, Mass.; and the American Library Association, Chicago, Ill., through funding from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
