Amanda Aikman, author of new book “Full-Spectrum Joyfulness: Easy-to-Remember Games, Songs and Practices for Creating More Joy in Your Everyday Life” ($14.95, Spirit of Life Press, 2010) will present “Joyfulness 101,” a free talk, from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, and “Full-Spectrum Joyfulness,” a workshop from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, at Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, off Barr Road in Agnew.

Aikman is a spiritual director and joyfulness consultant. She served the Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship as part-time minister from 2001-2005.

The winner of more than a dozen national sermon-writing awards, Aikman also is a writer of stage comedies and has had 14 plays produced in the Seattle area over the past nine years.

Aikman says about the class that many books about happiness are too abstract to be easily used in daily life. She set out to develop a way that adults could experience joy in an immediate, reliable way.
