Preparing for its 20th year, The Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts is the premier arts and music event on the Olympic Peninsula and one of the best on the West Coast.

The May 24-27 line-up includes family friendly performances and artists from around the world:

• Sierra Refugee All Stars: Sierra Leone’s inspiring band also will perform three pre-festival concerts in the schools.

• The Slide Brothers, four living legends of Sacred Steel together in one band.

• Tony Furtado Band, featuring the virtuoso on banjo and slide guitar.

• Groove For Thought, Bebop heaven with a jazz trio and seven dazzling jazz vocalists.

• LoCura, a San Francisco band mixing flamenco, cumbia, reggae and ska.

• Kaumakawai Kanaka’ole, five-time winner of Hawaii’s Grammy.

• Delhi 2 Dublin, the band in which Celtic meets Bollywood.

• Oliver Swain, folk music veteran of The Bills, Outlaw Social and more.

• Shane Philip, 2012 Winner of Vancouver Island’s “Best Live Act.”

• Damonde Tshritter, the only Canadian winner of Seattle’s International Comedy Competition.

The festival includes more than 100 performances on four major stages.

Festival passes are $50 by May 23, $60 at the door. Daily passes are $25 (Saturday or Sunday) or $20 (Friday or Monday).
