Juried fiber arts exhibition slated for October; entry deadlines in September

Organizers of the 12th Annual North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival are calling for artists to enter “Threads Count – Textiles, Technology &Tales,” a juried fiber arts exhibition. Seasoned or newer creations are welcome and open to all fiber arts media.

The exhibit will be during the festival from Oct. 6-8 at Sequim Museum &Arts, 175 W. Cedar St., Sequim, and from then to Nov. 25.

The full prospectus is at FiberArtsFestival.org. Enter online at https://uniqueasyou.submittable.com/submit. If entering via a tablet or phone, Dropbox is required. The entry deadline is at 9 p.m. Sept. 9; artwork delivery is before Sept. 23. The opening reception of the festival is Oct. 6, during the First Friday Art Walk.

All formats of fiber art will be considered, including wall-hung, free-standing or pedestal mounted. Entries must be original and must not be copied, derivatives or based on other copyrighted or published work. All skill levels are welcome.

Include the dimensions and weight of your work with each entry.

Enter a maximum of three art entries per artist; there is $15 entry fee per artist. Submit each piece of artwork entry together and pay for the $15 entry fee.

Collaborations are encouraged with a $15 entry fee per artist. Each artist must enter separately and include each artist’s name, contact information and artist statement along with information about the collaborative art piece. A collection of different pieces of art that are curated together are not considered one piece of art.
