Learn about collage art with free workshop

The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is partnering with SilverKite Community Arts to offer a virtual Introduction to Collage Art at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, on Zoom.

Register at nols.org or by calling a local NOLS branch to receive the Zoom link.

SilverKite offers arts programs for older adults, dementia-friendly arts programs and inter-generational arts experiences open to the public.

Collect, cut, tear and glue scraps and small treasures to create art in this fun introduction-to-collage event. The program will also feature work of several collage artists and explore different techniques they use to make their work. All ages are welcome to attend.

Attendees are encouraged to have scissors (useful, but not required), glue or glue stick, and something to glue items on, such as newspaper, magazines, construction paper, cardboard, packaging, fabric scraps, buttons, beads, found objects from nature or around the house.

The program is facilitated by Kailan Bergstrom with SilverKite Community Arts, LLC. A recording will be available after the event at silverkite.us/nols.
