Learn watercolor in garden setting

The Cutting Garden in Sequim serves as the classroom for Peninsula College’s new community education watercolor courses.

Instructor Catherine Mix teaches “Beginning Watercolors” and “Portraits in Watercolors” in two separate classes.

Mix is an award-winning artist who paints any subject with watercolor or pastel and sometimes mixes both media.

“Beginning Watercolors” meets 1-4 p.m. Wednesdays from May 1-22; cost is $122.

Students with some experience enrolled in “Portraits in Watercolors” meet from 6-9 p.m. Wednesdays, May 1-22; cost is $122.
