Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County announces a “Living Alone Now” workshop set for 1:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the PUD facility at 104 Hooker Road in Carlsborg.
The workshop is designed to assist those who are “experiencing a recent transition due to loss of a life partner and facing unfamiliar issues of home and auto maintenance.”
Michael Bucierka will provide information on what systems in one’s home need regular maintenance to avoid an emergency, and what to do in case of an emergency. He will provide suggestions on what maintenance can be performed by the homeowner and when professional assistance is recommended.
Bucierka brings to the workshop extensive experience as a former licensed general contractor, home inspector and residential maintenance professional.
The workshop is free and open to the public. As space is limited, pre-registration is required by calling 360-452-1511 or emailing to vsm@vhocc.org.
The VHOCC Living Alone Now Series continues through June. Upcoming workshops are: “Shopping & Cooking for One”; “Fraud Prevention & Consumer Protection”; “Q&A with Mark Harvey,” and “Self-Care.”
