‘Living Alone Now’ workshop to adress fraud prevention

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County announces a “Living Alone Now” workshop from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at the Clallam County PUD headquarters at 104 Hooker Road, Carlsborg.

The workshop is designed to assist those experiencing a recent transition to living alone due to loss of a loved one.

Karen Hallis, an attorney, mediator, certified professional life coach and former forensic custody investigator, leads the workshop.

Hallis has 10 years of experience working with elder abuse, dying, grief and loss, program organizers say.

This VHOCC workshop is designed to create understanding of the complex areas of fraud and identity theft and to give participants a chance to broaden their skills in self-advocacy and boundary-setting.

The workshop is free and open to the public. As space is limited, pre-registration is required by calling 360-452-1511 or emailing to vsm@vhocc.org.
