Loads of lavender blooming at Terrace Garden

Lavender plants are blooming in the Sequim Botanical Garden in Carrie Blake Community Park near the East Fir Street and South Blake Avenue entrance.

More than 30 varieties of ‘lavandula augustifolia’ and’ lavendula x intermedia’ are blooming this month. These lavender plants come in various sizes, shapes, and colors and are easy to grow in the Sequim area, Sequim Botanical Garden Society (SBGS) representatives note.

The society is a volunteer partner with the City of Sequim and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing education and a visual demonstration of what can be done in home gardening with research-based horticultural practices.

The Terrace Garden is located near the bandshell, 350 N. Blake Ave., just north of Carrie Blake Community Park.

Connect the group online or via email for inspiring and educational volunteer opportunities in the garden. For more information, contact the SBGS president Dona Brock at BROCKDL88@gmail.com or 360-460-8865. Or, visit fb.me/SequimBotanicalGarden and SequimBotanicalGarden.org.
