The Olympic Driftwood Sculptors and Olympic Peaks Camera Club share the spotlight as the Museum & Arts Center in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley (MAC) featured artists in June. The joint exhibit opens with an artists’ reception from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 3, at the MAC Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St., Sequim, during the First Friday Art Walk and runs through June 25.

Olympic Driftwood Sculptors was formed in 2008 to share and promote the art of driftwood and found-wood sculpture on the Olympic Peninsula; members entered nearly 50 pieces in the exhibit.

“Our No. 1 goal is to be as creative as possible and have fun doing it,” member Tuttie Peetz said.

Olympic Peaks Camera Club members, who work in both traditional film and digital imaging, participate in group field trips, workshops and one-on-one tutorials aimed at nurturing photography interests and improving photographic skills. Many of the exhibited photographs from Olympic Peaks Camera Club members also will be available for purchase.
