Macdonald to give D-Day presentation

Mac Alexander Macdonald is back to present “What Does D-Day Mean to Us Today?” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28 at the Old Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Road.

Hosted by Sequim Museum & Arts, Macdonald’s PowerPoint presentation “helps us remember that the sacrifices made on our behalf on those beaches give us the opportunity to pay it forward, to guide ourselves in a spirit of gratitude rather than defensiveness; to remember how important we are to our communities, thus repairing relationships and getting back at it,” event organizers say.

Macdonald, owner and president of LYFE Enhancement Company, was selected as one of the speakers during the 70th year commemoration of the D-Day landings in Normandy, France, three years ago.

Macdonald is an actor who has appeared in movies such as “Apocalypse Now ” and “American Graffiti” the television show “Murder She Wrote” and in many television commercials. He will show a few amusing behind-the- scenes photos from those times as well, event organizers say.
