‘Making Peace’ workshop kicks off new Soul Care speaker series

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is launching a speaker series as part of its new Soul Care program.

The program, made possible thanks to a grant from the Albert and Helen Mangan Fund, is free and will be offered via Zoom.

Registration is required in advance by calling 360-452-1511 or emailing to vsm@vhocc.org.

The series kicks off from noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, with a workshop about “Making Peace With End of Life,” presented by Dr. Terri Daniel.

In the workshop, participants will learn how to create a more positive relationship with death and grief as they face the loss of loved ones and the reality of their own eventual departure from physical life.

Daniel is an interfaith hospice chaplain, end-of-life educator and grief counselor certified in death, dying and bereavement by the Association of Death Education and Counseling.

She is also the author of four books on death, grief and the afterlife, and has helped hundreds of people learn to live, die and grieve more consciously.

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County provides free end-of-life nursing care, loans of medical equipment and supplies, education programs, grief support groups, one-on-one bereavement services and practical workshops on life after loss.
