Mark your calendar: Master Gardeners’ annual plant sale set for May 7

Celebrate all things growing and green with plants from the pros and mark your calendar for the annual Clallam County Master Gardeners’ spring plant sale, Saturday, May 7, at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road.

Sale times are 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., with the half-price sale from 1-3 p.m.

Choose from a wide variety of vegetable starts, including tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, rhubarb and broccoli — all grown by local Clallam County Master Gardeners — as well as popular, locally sourced native shrubs and saplings such as vine maple and red flowering currant. Check out a large selection of herbs, succulents, perennials and houseplants.

The General Store will be open with unique gifts for sale and gently-used gardening supplies and tools. Master Gardeners will be on site to help with selections and to answer gardening questions.

All proceeds from the sale will help to maintain the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, the 5th Street Community Garden demonstration in Port Angeles and support several Master Gardener community services, such as the Youth Enrichment Program (YEP), Green Thumb lectures and the Digging Deeper educational series.

Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.

Parking is available in the lot at the main entrance, as well as the lot west of the main entrance adjacent to Buttercup Lane.
