Miata club continues Christmas giving tradition

Members of the Olympic Peninsula Chapter of Club Miata Northwest made their annual trek on Dec. 8 after their Christmas party to donate food, diapers, and money to the Sequim Food Bank.

“We appreciate the continued support from the (club),” Sequim Food Bank Executive Director Andra Smith said. “Your kindness and generosity are the driving force behind our mission.”

Club members estimate they’ve continued the tradition since at least 2015.

The Sequim Food Bank, 144 W. Alder St., is open 1-4 p.m. Mondays, and 9 a.m.-noon Fridays and Saturdays. For more information on distribution/deliveries, call 360-683-1205.

Staff said peanut butter, canned tuna and chicken, and soups are always needed. Dry and canned goods and other non-perishable items can be dropped off at any time under the covered porches, while fresh fruits and vegetables can be dropped off 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday.
