Soroptimist International of Sequim announced last week the recipients of the group’s 2020 high school scholarships are Sammantha Church and Kjirstin Foresman. Both students received $2,000 each to apply to their forthcoming college education. Both Sequim High School seniors were recognized for their outstanding grades and contributions to their school and community.

Church will be attending Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minn., and will be majoring in computer aided design and drafting. Foresman will be attending the University of Washington in Seattle and will major in nursing and a minor in microbiology.
