Cameron Dunning, a junior at Sequim High School, recently was honored as the Sequim Sunrise Rotary’s April Vocational Student of the Month.
Pictured are, from left, Rotary member Nell Clausen, teacher Bill Seabolt, Dunning and Rotary president Jon Jack.
Seabolt, Dunning’s welding teacher, told Rotary members his student has a positive attitude and is going to be a productive member of society because of his excellent work ethic.
In addition to welding, Dunning enjoys reading, fishing and driving dune buggies.
Before completing high school, he hopes to be certified in refrigeration and welding. Dunning said his future plans are to go to college and become a certified welder and someday own and operate a welding and fabricating business.
He was joined at a Rotary meeting by Seabolt, his mother Christine and his father Thomas.
