Sequim Elks Lodge’s Student of the Month for November is Kimberly Heintz.

The daughter of Jim and Janell Heintz, she is a sophomore at Sequim High School who maintains a 3.98 grade point average.

Heintz’s favorite subject is English, though she said she enjoys all of her subjects for the most part. A Sequim resident entire life, her extracurricular activities include HOSA (Future Health Professionals), Knowledge Bowl, Operetta Club, FBLA and Book Club. She loves music and plays in the jazz band.

Heintz is active on SHS’s bowling and tennis teams as well.

Her high school courses include: advanced placement biology and world history; honors language arts, honors algebra 2, Spanish 1, chemistry and jazz band.

Heintz said she hasn’t decided on a major yet, but plans to attend a four-year college.
