Milestone: Feline-friendly event sees several adoptions

Annie’s Pet Adoption Day at Dungeness Courte Memory Care earlier this month was a big success, event organizers say, with at least 17 of the 20 cats brought from Olympic Peninsula Humane Society’s Kitty City to the facility adopted.

The July 12 event was named after Annie, one of the facility’s residents and a former humane officer who continues to support the humane society with donations.

Kittens, young cats and senior cats were be available for adoption, with all fees (adoption, shots, neutering/spaying) covered by the adoption day’s namesake.
