Soroptimist International of Sequim recently recognized Sequim High sophomore Emma Gilliam as their April Girl of the Month.

Gilliam is looking forward to continuing her interests in science and math in her coming junior year. When she isn’t involved in STEM based classes, she has a love of music and utilizes her talent through the school’s operetta group.

Gilliam is involved in the high school Interact and Leadership programs, and plans to continue her junior year as class secretary.

She said she hopes to attend at the University of Washington or Stanford, but said that could change.
