Jack and Shirley Glaubert celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 12.
They were married in 1967 at St. Mark’s Church in Seattle. They moved to Forks, where Jack worked for the Department of National Resources, and Shirley worked at Forks Community Hospital. Their first daughter was born in August 1968. Another daughter was born in September 1970.
The family then moved to Sequim in 1973.
Jack went into business for himself doing land surveying and Shirley worked for Peninsula Children’s Clinic until recently retiring.
They keep busy with traveling, gardening and maintaining their home. Also, they enjoy spending time with their daughters’ families and five grandchildren.
Jack and Shirley will be celebrating with family and friends and then be taking a trip to the Pacific Coast to enjoy the beach.
