Milestone: Healthy Families gets boost from Sequim Soroptimists

Cat Xander, president of Soroptimist International of Sequim, presents Becca Korby, executive director of Healthy Families of Clallam County, with a check for $2,500.

The funds will support Rose House, a transitional home for women and children escaping domestic violence, and the agency’s Financial Empowerment Program that teaches budgeting, debt reduction and financial management skills.

These programs align with the Soroptimist group’s mission to provide women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment, representatives said.
