Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis recently presented Margaret Kimball with the organization’s leadership award at a recent management meeting for her fairness, compassion and positive communication style when working with department managers and frontline staff.

As supervisor of Health Information Management — also known as medical records — Kimball oversees staff who acquire, analyze and protect digital and traditional medical records.

Darryl Wolfe, OMC’s chief financial officer, spoke of Kimball’s skills: “Margaret joined OMC as HIM supervisor seven years ago and fortuitously came with a background knowledge of Epic, our electronic health record system. This made her a valued certified trainer during our Epic journey.”

Added Wolfe, “Managers and frontline staff compliment Margaret on her positive communication style, and her staff respects her fairness and compassion when dealing with difficult issues. Margaret has helped mold the Health Information Management staff into a team, one that continues to grow and exhibit the OMC values by direct observation of the values she presents every day.”
