Milestone: Kiwanis name ‘Cutest Dog’

The Kiwanis of Sequim-Dungeness named the “Cutest Dog” for its contest at the KSQM Patriot Day Celebration in Carrie Blake Park on Sept. 11.

First place went to Sara, a Welfare For Animals Guild rescue dog, on left, who will be available for adoption in January of 2022 after her medical needs are met. Second place went to CoCo, another WAG dog; third place to Ozzy; fourth place was Maevis; fifth and sixth places were a tie between Twinky and Candy.

“All the dogs were cute and it was hard for the public to pick a winner out of the 24 entries,” organizers said.

Kiwanis of Sequim-Dungeness club worked with KSQM, Swains, Leitz Farm and Equipment and QFC to host the event.
