Darryl Wolfe, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Olympic Medical Center (OMC), honored staff from three OMC departments at a recent board of commissioners meeting.
Health Information Management Chart Analyst Renee Sommers embodies OMC’s core values, Wolfe said.
“Renee is selfless and dedicated, offers to support others and is professional and compassionate in all interactions with patients,” he said.
Piper Grall, release-of-information technician and birth registrar, works collaboratively with many departments, is a talented problem-solver and always puts patients and customers first, OMC representatives said.
Patient account representative Nicole Jackson has a strong work ethic, Wolfe said, adding that she tackles volumes of work with skill and efficiency and regularly encourages and praises her peers.
Cashier specialist Kim Goss shares knowledge and provides support to her team, and works to maximize resources and processes.
Financial services representative Cheryl Bankson helps streamline financial processes for patients and provides compassionate customer service. She also fosters teamwork among coworkers, OMC representatives said.
Patient access representative Terry Wray assists patients during the registration process with confidence and a calm demeanor, Wolfe said, and acts as a role model for his coworkers.
Debbie Callahan, also a patient access representative, takes extra steps to help patients, family and visitors at the emergency department arrival desk.
As Washington State Certified Application Counselors, Wray and Callahan can assist patients in enrolling for healthcare coverage benefits.
