Olympic Medical Center officials recently acknowledged the “outstanding level of care” their speech language pathologist team brings to patients on the Olympic Peninsula.
OMC offers an extensive list of speech-language pathology services to its patients in both the acute care and outpatient settings, center officials note. The recognized team provides care across the lifespan including early development, progressive disorders, and rehabilitation after stroke, traumatic brain injuries, head/neck cancers and more.
The hospital’s Board of Commissioners recognized these team members for their contributions at a recent meeting. Recognized employees include: Emily Allen, Sara Laughlin and Sherne-Marie McMillian of OMC’s acute care division, Jacqueline Levet, Bailey Levis and Jennifer Weicher in Sequim, Bernadette Teel in the Port Angeles outpatient site and Gail Victoria at the children’s clinic.
“Our speech pathologists are a special team that provides a lot of value to our patients and our community,” OMC chief medical officer Scott Kennedy said.
“I want to extend a special thanks to them. We are pleased to recognize them today and are very fortunate to have this expert team here with us at Olympic Medical Center.”
