The Olympic Peninsula Humane Society (OPHS) on April 22 a $7,500 grant investment from the newly named Petco Love to support the organization’s work for animals in Clallam County.
Since its founding in 1999 as the Petco Foundation, the nonprofit has donated to organizations nearly $300 million to date in adoption and other efforts. And, they’ve helped find homes for more than 6.5 million pets in partnership with Petco and more than 4,000 organizations, according to a press release.
“Petco Love has been a valued supporter for six years now. This particular grant will be used towards funding a completely enclosed barn and outdoor play yard for the rabbits in our care so they can have a better environment where they can be happy and thrive,” OPHS executive director Luanne Hinkle said.
“We are very grateful for the Petco Love’s grant investment continues to help us care for animals here in Clallam County.”
