Milestone: Potswald receives Soroptimist group’s vocational award

Soroptimist International of Sequim recently awarded the group’s Vocational Technical Award to Alicia Potswald.

Potswald was inspired to turn her skills and desire to serve individuals by enrolling in the volunteer program at Clallam District 3 Fire Department and graduated from the EMT program at Peninsula College.

She is a part-time employee with Olympic Ambulance works with Bainbridge Island Fire Department as a volunteer in their candidate program and remains a volunteer with Fire District 3.

She said she hopes to qualify for paramedic school and complete training with the fire academy.
