William (Bill) and Christine Wrobel celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 24.

They were married in Syracuse, NY, on October 24, 1970.

Over the years they lived in New York City, New Jersey, Washington state, Southern California, Oregon and Louisiana.

Having experienced the flavor of life in multiple states, they smartly decided to retire in Sequim in 2005.

They have lived in the same Linwood cedar home located on the last moraine formed as the Vashon glacier retreated across Puget Sound.

Christine is an avid quilt maker and gardener. She has been active in Quilts of Valor for our servicemen and women. She also donates quilts to local charities. She retired after serving 31 years with the federal government. She also spent many enjoyable years working in a veterinary clinic.

Bill is a fly fisherman and Mac computer consultant in retirement. In his working life he was an environmental engineer, business broker, nursery worker and business owner. He’s also been a Master Gardener since 1984 and a Tax-Aide counselor since 2002.
