Members of Sequim Elks Lodge No. 2642 and staff of the Clallam County Juvenile and Family Services’ child advocate program pause in delivering Christmas meals to foster families.
The lodge recently used a $3,500 Beacon Grant from the Elks National Foundation (ENF) to purchase 50 complete dinners for the foster families in the program.
In September, Sequim Elks presented $2,000 in ENF Gratitude Grant monies to the Sequim Boys & Girls Club of Sequim for their meals program.
In addition, Sequim Elks donated to Voices for Vets a $2,000 ENF Spotlight Grant that helped a vet family purchase clothing after losing everything in a home fire with remaining funds donated to Sarge’s Place to provide food and shelter for veterans.
